WAISP has two types of membership, depending on the type of activity the company is engaged in.

Companies that provide access to the Internet for business or consumers in the state of Washington join as Regular Members of WAISP, and have a vote for the members of the Board of Directors, and help determine policy and positions on issues. Dues are based on revenue, and are set by the Board of Directors.

Companies that provide services to ISPs, such as equipment manufacturers and competitive telecom providers, are out-of-state ISPs, or are supportive of WAISP efforts, join as Associate Members of WAISP. Dues are a flat rate, and set by the Board of Directors.
